Kratom’s Classification Status

Kratom is not listed on the DEA’s Controlled Substances list, making it legal on a federal level. Some states have banned or restricted use. However, most states either support or regulate the industry for safety and quality reasons. 

Florida recently became the 11th state in the U.S. to enact the Kratom Consumer Protection Act. With this legislation in place, lawmakers can preserve the industry while safeguarding consumers from potential risks associated with contaminated goods and underage use. These laws signal a notable change in public perception, paving the way for a more extensive investigation of Kratom's promising effects.
